The South Korean PUBG Mobile esports team participating in the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games finished in a disappointing 6th place, narrowly missing out on a medal.

The national squad, consisting of 'FAVIAN' Park Sang-chul, 'HYUNBIN' Jeon Hyun-bin, 'NOLBU' Song Su-an, 'CHEEZ' Jung Yu-chan, and 'XZ' Kim Jun-ha, played a total of 12 matches over two days of the finals held at the Aichi Sky Expo in Japan, managing a combined total of only 71 points. Starting the first day in 6th place with 38 points and no wins, the delegation added 33 points on the second day but failed to close the gap with the top tier.

Victory went to Thailand, which secured a total of 128 points by adding 3 wins, 53 placement points, and 75 kill points. China took the silver medal with a total of 114 points, and Pakistan claimed the bronze with 100 points. Vietnam and Indonesia took 4th and 5th places respectively, both recording a tied score of 95 points.

Meanwhile, South Korea dispatched athletes across 9 events for these Asian Games, including Pokémon UNITE, Honor of Kings, League of Legends, PUBG Mobile, Identity V, Gran Turismo 7, and the eFootball series. The South Korean delegation claimed 1 gold medal in the fighting game category, 1 silver medal in Puyo Puyo eSports, and 1 bronze medal each in Gran Turismo 7 and Pokémon UNITE.
