Krafton's creative studio Neon Giant has officially kicked off pre-orders for the Ultimate Edition of the action-shooter RPG The Ascent on Nintendo Switch 2. Launching as a digital-only release, this Ultimate Edition bundles the base game together with major DLCs, and you can grab it at a cheeky 10 percent discount ahead of the official launch.

Set in Veles, a dystopian cyberpunk world ruled by a mega-corporation, The Ascent delivers intense action-shooter RPG gameplay. Supporting both solo play and up to four-player co-op, the title lets players build a bespoke combat style by mixing and matching various weapons and cyberware. Since its initial debut in 2021, the game has pulled in a staggering player base of over 12 million worldwide.

Aside from the core experience, the Nintendo Switch 2 Ultimate Edition packs in crucial story expansions and add-ons, including the Cyber Heist narrative expansion, the CyberSec Pack, and the Cyber Warrior Pack. The digital-only package is scheduled to land on December 3.

Pre-orders are now live via the Nintendo eShop. The standard price sits at 31,000 won, but early adopters can snag it during the pre-order window with a 10 percent discount, bringing the total down to 27,900 won right up until launch day.

Meanwhile, ahead of the new console launch, a legacy patch is rolling out to existing platforms on November 19. This update brings localization quality improvements, HDR support, polished teleport and encounter systems for co-op sessions, and critical fixes for save and progression issues. Naturally, all these improvements will also carry over to the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
