Line Games has announced that its mobile SRPG The War of Genesis Mobile, developed by Meerkat Games, has welcomed a brand new character named Kai alongside a fresh content update on August 6. Look, let's be generous here—the developer is actually giving Kai away for free to everyone simply by logging into the game.

The newly added Kai serves as an alternate version of Karl Brandt, living out a totally different fate compared to the original source material. Lore-wise, the character counts as one of the Number Sieges of the Ark. Kai breaks new ground as the very first duo-style character, summoning a small Hellkite to fight side-by-side and unleashing the devastating ultimate move, Cheonji Yuseong Nakyeolmu. Equipping the signature weapon, Gigades, pushes the gear's potential straight to the absolute limit.

A Cosmos Saga side story starring Kai has also gone live. Players can dive right into this narrative to experience the tale of Karl Brandt, who somehow survives a final showdown against Veradin in an alternate reality.

Alongside the character drop, the Knighthood system received a massive overhaul. The update introduces the Knighthood Pass, letting players rack up pass XP and snag rewards through both group and individual activities, complete with a dedicated specialty currency shop. A daily attendance system has also been introduced, pooling together the check-ins of all Knighthood members to dish out tiered rewards.

A bounty of events will run right up until maintenance begins on September 3. By tackling the Alternative Attendance Challenge event, players can pull in items like Inner Cubes, Parallel Cubes, Dimension Keys, Raznite, and High-grade Phantom Remnants.

Returning players aren't left out in the cold either, as a dedicated 7-day mission track awaits them. Clearing these tasks rewards up to 300 summon tickets—including Bonds Cubes and Universe Cubes—alongside in-game currency like Bit and Eld. Meanwhile, newcomers can take advantage of the Outer One Support Event, netting up to 200 Outer One character summon tickets upon mission completion. On top of all that, the Coin Exchange Shop now stocks the Innocence skin for Outer One's Cyrano Bernstein, purchasable using Kashmir Badges earned by participating in the tournament. Once players secure Kai and knock out the growth missions, extra goodies like SD Kai, rank-up and class-change materials, and Raznite are all up for grabs.
