Developer Leap Studio and ConchShip Games have joined forces to release their action RPG, Realm of Taiwu, into Early Access via Steam.

Leap Studio previously made a name for themselves with the artistic action roguelite game Realm of Ink. Set in a corrupted world where gods have fallen silent and demons run rampant, the new title Realm of Taiwu invites players to explore shattered lands in search of hope amidst despair.

The game blends dark imagination inspired by bizarre Chinese tales with ink-wash art aesthetics, packing in fast-paced combat, exploration, and crafting elements. The Early Access version introduces two maps: the Bloodjade Abyss, where blood-red veins pulse like arteries, and the Tome Mound, where characters crawl across the earth. Every scene in the game is crafted as an explorable ink-wash landscape.

Realm of Taiwu is a survivors-like action title that requires players to combine combat styles for ultimate victory. At the launch of Early Access, six playable characters and approximately 30 skill sets are available, with these skill sets set to expand further during development. The game also offers plenty of options for solo players while opening up cooperative combat possibilities through a real-time online co-op mode for up to three other players.

Whether preferred styles lean towards melee, ranged, or status-effect attacks, every warrior needs reliable gear. In Realm of Taiwu, players can dismantle and reforge spare equipment to upgrade preferred gear and craft weapons tailored to their personal combat style into legendary equipment. This system allows players to forge custom gear that will stay with them until the very end.
