A miniature board game based on Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon has been teased for release next year.

The news was dropped on the 22nd via the Japanese official social media account of the robot miniature game Ember: Obsidian Protocol. The project is being handled by Kueti Tectonics, a studio specialising in sci-fi robot miniature wargames and board games.

This upcoming project appears to translate the universe and mecha units of the original Armored Core 6 into an offline miniature tabletop experience. Judging by the miniature wargame hashtag attached to the announcement, we can easily guess the genre. The release is slated for 2027, with further details to be shared down the line.

This is not the first time Armored Core 6 has received the tabletop treatment. Back in 2025, Japan's Fujimi Dragon Book released a TRPG rulebook where players could tinker with their own rigs and take on various missions. It was a combat-heavy TRPG that required managing unit Energy (EN) each turn while engaging foes.

Meanwhile, launching back in August 2023, Armored Core 6 is a mech action game co-developed by FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment. At the time of its announcement, it grabbed massive attention as the first new entry in the series for 11 years, and following its release, it earned critical acclaim for its deep customisation and nail-biting action, pulling in the highest Metacritic score in the franchise's history.
