Look, let's be honest, global PC maker Acer has announced on the 28th that the 'Predator League 2027 South Korea Qualifier' will run from November 15 to 22. This tournament serves as the official preliminary round to select the South Korean representative team heading to the 'Predator League 2027' Grand Finals, which will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in January 2027. This year's competition features two distinct titles: VALORANT and League of Legends, expanding from last year's single-game format that focused solely on VALORANT.

The South Korea Qualifier kicks off with online preliminaries on November 15, followed by offline finals held from November 21 to 22 at the Sangam SOOP Colosseum in Seoul. The League of Legends finals will take place on the 21st, while the VALORANT finals unfold on the 22nd. The winning team in each category receives a cash prize of 10 million KRW alongside a championship trophy, securing both a ticket to the Grand Finals and covered flights and accommodation in Vietnam.

Eligibility is open to amateur teams aged 18 and over, provided that at least two squad members hold South Korean nationality. Players currently registered on official professional league rosters are excluded from participating. Applications remain open until November 9 at 11:59 PM. An Acer representative noted how last year's tournament generated considerable buzz when the Korea Creator team, led by popular gaming influencer Kim Doon-mo, took the crown, adding that expanding the roster of games this year gives amateur gamers even more diverse avenues to challenge themselves on the global stage.

The 'Predator League 2027' Grand Finals, where the South Korea Qualifier champions will compete, are scheduled for January 4 to 11, 2027, at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. A total prize pool of $120,000 (approximately 162 million KRW) hangs in the balance for each category of VALORANT and League of Legends, with top representatives from across the Asia-Pacific region expected to battle for ultimate supremacy.

Meanwhile, a Predator gaming hardware experience zone will operate on the first floor of the SOOP Colosseum throughout the offline finals on November 21 and 22. The Acer representative emphasised that the Predator League functions as a global esports tournament designed to foster exchange among gamers throughout the Asia-Pacific region, pledging to continue engaging with local gamers and expanding the Predator gaming experience through various esports initiatives.
