NCSoft’s idle MMORPG, Journey of Monarch, has officially introduced a new 'Mythic' tier of gear.

Mythic gear is categorized into 'Standard' and 'Set' equipment. Standard pieces can be obtained via dice rolls from level 55, while Set equipment is acquired through dice rolls from level 61 or by using the '12-sided die' found as a reward in the Mythic equipment dungeon. Equipping multiple pieces from a set unlocks special bonuses. For Mythic accessories, players can craft them with a certain probability at the Crafting Territory from level 22 onwards. Enhancing these items requires a new consumable: the 'Mythic Equipment Enchant Scroll'.

A dedicated 'Mythic Equipment Dungeon' has also been added, where players can tackle bosses to farm materials for upgrades. To gain entry, players must use 'Mythic Equipment Dungeon Shards', which are earned through events or by dismantling existing Mythic gear. The dungeon unlocks once a player surpasses the 10,000-stage milestone.

The fan-art contest winner, the magic doll 'Pico Pico', has also made its debut. As a Legendary grade doll, Pico Pico increases the attack speed of allies when owned. When deployed in battle, it provides a boost to damage resistance penetration. The development team for Journey of Monarch explained during their 'Channel Journey' livestream that the design and concept were chosen specifically for their suitability as a magic doll.

NCSoft has also implemented a Season Pass system. Players can now accumulate points by engaging with content over a set period to unlock tiered rewards. Furthermore, the update raises the maximum level for territory buildings to 30 and expands the magic doll slots to seven upon reaching stage 30,000.
