The new fighting game 'Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact', based on the popular anime Hunter x Hunter, has opened early access on Steam and PS5 starting on the 15th, ahead of its official launch.

Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact features many major characters from the original series, allowing players to select 3 of them for 3v3 tag matches. A total of 17 characters are included, such as the protagonist Gon, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, and Hisoka. Among them, Neferpitou is a new character included in the season pass. Players can enjoy team battles, aiming for the strongest squad through strategies involving character compatibility and team order.

The content consists of both offline and online modes. Offline, there is a Story mode where players can relive iconic scenes and battle NPCs, the Heavens Arena where players aim to become a Floor Master through consecutive battles, and 'Combo Trial' where players must defeat opponents based on specific conditions for each character. Online, players can compete against others. Features include Ranked Matches aiming for the highest rank of 'Triple Hunter,' and Player Matches where users can create rooms to battle others.

This early access is provided as a purchase bonus for the Deluxe Edition on PC and PS5. The official release date for the game is July 17. As of the 15th, the day early access began, there are 19 user reviews on Steam, with a 'Mostly Positive' rating. While players appreciate the combat based on the original series' 'Nen system' and the ability to play as their favorite characters, some have pointed out that the volume of content, such as the number of playable characters at launch, is not yet fully satisfying.

Meanwhile, Arc System Works Asia is distributing the Korean version of Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact, which supports PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
