After three years of showcasing a variety of indie titles at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), the event formerly known as Burning Beaver is back with a fresh coat of paint and a new moniker.

Smilegate Future Lab announced on the 4th that their indie game and culture festival, Burning Beaver, has been rebranded as BEAVER ROCKS and is now accepting team applications. The name BEAVER ROCKS represents the ambition of passionate indie creators to shake up the world through a massive festival, reflecting Future Lab's commitment to building a larger, more impactful celebration of indie gaming.

Now in its fourth year, BEAVER ROCKS stands as the largest indie game festival in the metropolitan area, dedicated to expanding the local development landscape and supporting creators. The event has seen a cumulative attendance of over 28,000 visitors to date. This year, the festival will take place over three days from December 5th to 7th at the DDP Art Hall 1, with an additional online exhibition running from December 1st to 14th.

The official BEAVER ROCKS website has been launched by Future Lab, marking the official opening of applications for exhibition teams. Any indie developer or team is welcome to apply. Interested parties must submit an application form, a playable game build, and a link to a YouTube gameplay video via the website by September 15th.

Future Lab will provide exhibition booths for all selected teams, complete with necessary hardware including PCs, mobile devices, keyboards, and mice. Furthermore, the event will feature networking programs to foster connections between creators and a dedicated lounge for those looking to take a well-deserved break.
