Hearthstone’s 'Battlegrounds' mode has officially kicked off its 11th season, titled 'Echoes of Un'Goro', on the 6th. This update is packing quite a punch, introducing over 100 new and returning minions, tavern spells, and a staggering 48 quests for players to sink their teeth into.

First up, we have a fresh keyword: 'Rally'. This mechanic triggers whenever a minion attacks. While you’ll mostly see it popping up with Quilboar and Dragons, the developer has ensured it can be found across all minion types.

The fan-favourite Battlegrounds Quests are also making a grand return. The core system remains unchanged; at the 4-gold turn (turn 6), you get to pick one of three quests. Completing these unlocks powerful, permanent buffs for the rest of your run. With 13 brand-new quests added to the mix and 35 classics coming back into the rotation, there is plenty of variety to keep things interesting.

A new hero, 'Luo, the Living Legend', joins the fray as well. Once Luo's allied minions have attacked 15 times, the Hero Power upgrades, allowing the player to Discover a Rally minion for just 1 Gold.

For those of you who appreciate a bit of hand-holding, the new 'Battlegrounds Guide' is a welcome addition. Located at the bottom-right of the screen, this tool provides a handy breakdown of available minions and tavern spells by tier and type. It’s a solid choice for getting acquainted with the new card pool and figuring out exactly what your board needs to survive.

The Rewards Track has also received a makeover. Expect Under-fel and Dragon-themed cosmetics, and if you opt for the Season Pass, you’ll be granted two extra hero choices at the start of every game. Progressing through the pass unlocks new legendary Under-fel strike effects, 13 hero skins, and a fresh bartender. If you decide to upgrade to the Season Pass+, you'll bag all those rewards plus a cheeky one-time hero reroll per game.
