Krafton has released the 4.0.0 update for 'PUBG Mobile', featuring a collaboration with the anime 'Kaiju No. 8'.

The 'Kaiju No. 8' collaboration runs from September 5th to October 1st. The update introduces character sets and motions for Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro. Players can transform into 'Kaiju No. 8', while also obtaining themed weapons, vehicles, parachutes, gliders, and buddies. Through reward events and lucky draws, players can also acquire the 'Kaiju No. 8', 'Kaiju No. 9', and 'Kaiju No. 10' sets.

The update brings a variety of new content. In the 'Ghost Buddy' themed mode, players will encounter a mysterious manor, ghost buddies, and spectres. New items like the Ghost Scope and a Magic Broomstick have also been introduced. The 'Hide and Seek' mode pits chasers against survivors, where the core gameplay revolves around repairing generators to escape or thwarting those attempts.

A mortar has been added to Classic Mode, and some weapon performance and reloading mechanics have been refined. In Arena Mode, weapon balancing and ranked match rules have been adjusted, with a new weapon combat power ranking system introduced to track performance more systematically.
