The Korea AI Smart Sports Future Forum has announced its official launch, with a vision proclamation event scheduled for September 23rd (Tue) at 2:00 PM at the Chambit Theatre of Busan National University of Education.

The forum will be co-led by Lee Jae-sung, Chairman of the Democratic Party's Busan City Committee (formerly Chairman of the AI Powerhouse Committee under the 21st Presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung), and Jeon Je-cheol, a candidate for the presidency of Busan National University of Education. Approximately 200 key figures from academia, industry, and related sectors are expected to attend the event, including Kim Yong-sam, former Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Lee Jae-hong, President of the Korea Game Policy Society.

The Korea AI Smart Sports Future Forum aims to enhance the quality of life for citizens by organically integrating grassroots sports with esports. With a vision to usher in a 'National Smart Sports Era' for everyone from primary school students to adults, the forum plans to lead a new paradigm that fosters physical and mental growth by applying AI technology across school sports, lifestyle sports, and the broader sports sector.

Co-representative Lee Jae-sung emphasized, "The establishment of an esports promotion foundation and museum is not merely a campaign promise, but a core national agenda of the Lee Jae-myung government," adding, "We will make Busan the world’s first K-Smart Sports capital and a global mecca for the esports industry." Following this, Co-representative Jeon Je-cheol stated, "Through industry-academic cooperation between Busan National University of Education and the industry, we will develop and distribute national esports content and prepare a mid-to-long-term roadmap that leads to international exports."
