The Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) teamed up with the Korea Youth Counseling & Welfare Institute on the 17th to host an online 'Youth Game Usage Guidance and Career Education' workshop for 44 staff members from Youth Support Centers for Out-of-School Youth across the country.

The initiative was designed to bolster the expertise of these support center staff, equipping them to guide youth toward healthy gaming habits and help them explore potential career paths within the gaming industry.

The curriculum was split into two sessions. First, a specialist trained by the GRAC delivered a lecture on effective methods for guiding youth in their gaming habits. Following this, a professional from a domestic gaming firm took the floor to discuss various roles in the industry and the essential skills required for each position.

Reflecting on the experience, one participant remarked, "It was genuinely striking to see how we can move beyond just viewing gaming as a pastime, and instead highlight the positive values and diverse career opportunities it offers. I feel much better equipped to provide practical guidance in the field now."

GRAC Chairperson Seo Tae-geon noted, "Youth outside the traditional school system are growing through their own unique paths and possess limitless potential. We hope this initiative serves as a model for public-private partnership in supporting our youth. We remain committed to providing ongoing support so these individuals can grow into independent and healthy members of society."
