Arc System Works Asia is bringing the Korean version of Qureate's action title, 'Magical Crystal☆Ikuno', to the Nintendo Switch as a digital-only release on December 11.

Originally launched by Qureate in May 2025, 'Magical Crystal☆Ikuno' follows college students 'Hinata Ikuno' and 'Tsukine Anami' after they cross paths with 'Sen' and 'Liz', two fairies who watch over the world's peace. The gameplay loop involves collecting crystals scattered across stages while dodging the minions of the villainous Hamester, known as Quaxter. Should your health hit zero, the game triggers a special sequence—a hallmark of the series—all rendered through the distinct illustrations and CG work of Waon Inui.

Ikuno and Anami are just your average university students until they are thrust into a heroic role, tasked by the fairies to save the world from the clutches of the evil overlord Hamester. Once Hamester begins his assault on the city, the duo makes the fateful choice to fight for what they hold dear, transforming into warriors of light in the process. It is a classic setup: our protagonists stand tall, while the villain grows ever stronger by abusing the power of the crystals.

The core gameplay is laser-focused on 'Crystal Collection'. To clear a stage, you must navigate the map to gather all the chestnut-shaped crystals while avoiding the pesky Quaxter. Along the way, you can pick up helpful items like 'Cream Soda' to restore health or the 'Hamster Wheel' to become invincible and trample your enemies. Be wary, however—the maps are littered with traps that will slow you down or leave you incapacitated. And remember, hitting zero health triggers one of Qureate's infamous visual sequences.

As you collect crystals, they accumulate in the cheek pouches of Sen and Liz, who are conveniently attached to the heroines' chests. The more you gather, the larger those pouches grow. For those interested, the game also includes a mode that applies a 'Light Curtain' to cover up certain areas of the girls in various screenshots.
