Gen.G mid-laner 'Chovy' Jeong Ji-hoon was named the winner of the 'Best Esports Athlete' award at The Game Awards 2025 (TGA 2025), held in Los Angeles on the 12th.

'Chovy' Jeong Ji-hoon has been the core force behind Gen.G, which achieved a record-breaking 29-1 performance in the LCK this year. He secured back-to-back titles and the Finals MVP at the 2025 MSI, and continued his reign as the world's best by reaching the top at the Esports World Cup.

Furthermore, he proved his skill through individual achievements in the LCK, including the regular season MVP and the most Player of the Match (POM) awards. Consequently, he was named Player of the Year at the 2025 The League Awards. His team, Gen.G, also showcased overwhelming performance by winning the 2025 LCK title and setting a record with their entire roster being named to the LCK First Team.

Meanwhile, 'Counter-Strike 2' was selected as the Best Esports Game, and the Counter-Strike 2 pro team 'Team Vitality' was named the Best Esports Team.
