Capcom and Tencent's TiMi Studio Group have released a new video showcasing four weapons from their upcoming mobile hunting action title, 'Monster Hunter Outlanders.' It is notable how well the game captures the core combat feel of major titles in the series, such as Monster Hunter World and Wilds.

The overall combat mechanics appear to be a faithful implementation of the series' signature hunting action for mobile. The weapon characteristics are well-represented: the Great Sword features powerful charged strikes and solid defense, the Heavy Bowgun offers heavy ranged firepower, the Long Sword provides fluid continuous attacks based on the Spirit Gauge, and the Dual Blades feature frantic flurries through Demon Mode. It is also notable that iconic moves such as the Great Sword's 'True Charged Slash,' the Dual Blades' 'Aerial Rotation Dance,' and the Long Sword's 'Spirit Helm Breaker' are all present.

First unveiled in November 2024, Monster Hunter Outlanders follows a hunter’s journey to conquer the Hunting Island alongside new companions. The game introduces a new type of monster called 'Fused Species,' alongside many popular monsters from the series such as Rathalos and Pukei-Pukei. The game also includes building elements, allowing players to gather materials and construct bases. Monster Hunter Outlanders held a closed beta test from November to December of last year.
