Netmarble has rolled out a Metal Slug 3 collaboration update for its mobile collection RPG, 'The King of Fighters AFK', developed by Netmarble Neo.

The update introduces iconic characters from SNK's classic, Metal Slug 3: 'Eri Kasamoto', 'Marco Rossi', and 'Fio Germi'. The Eri Kasamoto and Marco Rossi pickup event begins on the 11th, while Fio Germi joins the fray on the 15th.

There is also a login event running until March 10. Simply logging in will net you the Legend fighter Marco Rossi and the 'Pocket SV-001', a Legend pet inspired by the series' iconic tank.

During the same period, you can dive into various dungeon events. First up is the 'Final Mission', featuring a KOF-styled reimagining of the Metal Slug 3 boss, 'Rootmars'. It is a score-based affair that provides event currency and ranking rewards.

You can spend your event currency to recruit Legend supporters like Tarma Roving, Donald Morden, and Madoka Aikawa, or grab the unique-grade supporter 'Hyakutaro Ichimonji'. There is also a tower-style 'Assault Mission' dungeon where clearing stages rewards you with tokens to summon collaboration fighters.

From the 17th, the main collaboration event kicks off, offering chances to snag Legend pets 'Pocket Mars People' and 'Pocket SV-001'. Plus, there is a scavenger hunt where finding the hidden Hyakutaro Ichimonji grants you extra rewards.

On top of that, a new multi-deck challenge called 'Countdown Operation' is now available. You will need to manage a roster of 25 fighters, strategically forming 5 teams to tackle bosses with specific vulnerabilities.

Returning players are offered a 14-day benefit package on existing servers, including a 'Return Pass' to unlock Orochi, Orochi Iori, and Orochi Leona. If you choose a new server, you can utilize the settling-in support event.
