NEXON announced on the 25th that it has added 'Forbidden Rift', a new guild-focused content, to the Origin servers of its mobile and PC MMORPG, HIT2, developed by its subsidiary NEXON Games.

Taking place every Saturday on Origin servers, 'Forbidden Rift' is a guild-based competitive mode where you can hunt randomly spawned bosses for a shot at legendary gear. The game matches eight guilds with similar combat power, and to keep things anonymous, all guild and character names are hidden, ensuring your standard server politics don't interfere with the combat.

When you enter the fray, you'll have to choose one of three fields—the Abyss, Ruin, or Nightmare training grounds—each featuring distinct monster compositions and varying levels of difficulty.

The developers have also expanded the 'Shrine of Lament' dungeon with a new level 95 bracket to boost gold farming efficiency, while tweaking drop tables to include unstable Power Stone enhancement scrolls. To top it off, they've added instant completion features for the level 65 and 75 brackets.

Meanwhile, the Classic servers are getting a fresh update with the 'Void Fog Forest', a new area within the inter-server content 'Hideout of the Fallen'. Defeating the regional boss 'Frenzied Wraith Lord' will net you six types of Hero-grade armor and three types of Hero-grade secret tomes. Drop rates for rare upgrade gems and gear across the entire Hideout of the Fallen have also seen a welcome increase.

A new guild-specific mode, 'Battlefield of Protection', has also arrived. It is split into 10 waves where you must clear monsters and defend your tower within a time limit. Successfully clearing all stages rewards you with gear crafting materials, Hero-grade equipment upgrade stones (Peridot, Topaz, Onyx), and unstable enhancement scrolls.

On top of that, they have introduced new 'Dragon' and 'Golem' mounts and expanded the slots for mount training and growth registration.

Furthermore, Origin servers receive one new Ancient active skill for each of the five classes: Bow, Dual Swords, Scythe, Dual Pistols, and Spirit Sword. The new Bow and Dual Sword skills are also hitting the Classic servers. Rounding out the update, there’s a new 'Maid' cosmetic set and fresh boss spawn rules for the Altar of the Arbiter.

NEXON is running the 'Guild Solidarity Boot Mission' event across both Origin and Classic servers until March 4th. By completing tasks like guild attendance, donations, and earning guild coins, Origin players can net up to 100 million gold and Hero-grade equipment piece selection pouches, while Classic players can earn up to 4 million gold and 200 Faded Rune Shards.

Finally, the 'Search for Eltera Merchant Coins' event runs until March 11th. You can trade coins dropped by monsters for various items in a special shop. Origin players can snag guaranteed Hero card summon tickets and 11x Radiant card summon tickets, while Classic players can exchange them for rare weapon crafting secret tomes and Sacred Holy Flames.
