Nexon is launching a global Closed Alpha Test for its new zombie survival title, 'Nakwon: Last Paradise' (hereinafter 'Nakwon'), running from March 12 to 16. The team is bringing significantly more to the table than the previous pre-alpha. Players can expect over 60 types of melee weapons, including fire axes, heavy construction hammers, and riot shields. Survival and lifestyle mechanics have received a polish too. A new 'Skill Tree' system allows you to combine various active and passive skills using attribute points. Furthermore, the environment is becoming more dynamic; alongside the original dark 'night' settings, we now have clear 'day' cycles and 'heavy rain'—which, admittedly, does a grand job of masking your footsteps from the undead.

Back at your base, you can deck out your living space with crafting benches, fridges, and other furniture. You can even work your way up to higher citizen ranks to move into more spacious housing, adding a layer of immersion to this post-apocalyptic existence.

To mark the test announcement, a new trailer shows off the ruined streets of Seoul, where players must raid others for supplies while dodging relentless zombie hordes.
