Apex Legends is set to kick off a massive Gundam collaboration, featuring eight distinct Legend skins.

On the 4th, EA announced a sprawling collaboration between Apex Legends and the Gundam series. Starting on the 10th, this event packs a punch with limited-time game modes, exclusive skins, and even physical Gunpla merchandise. The battlefield itself is getting a makeover too, as the Broken Moon map undergoes a 'Gundam Takeover' transformation.

Players can get their hands on iconic gear via 'Care Packages', including the 'Buster Rifle' and 'Bit Stave'. You can also expect a shift in combat dynamics with new Gundam-inspired Wild Card abilities, such as 'Epyon Whip', 'Heavyarms Salvo', 'Zero Sacrifice', and 'Zero Reverse'.

A slew of Legend skins has been unveiled to mark the occasion. We are talking about eight skins in total, including Alter as Gundam Epyon, Crypto as Freedom Gundam, Valkyrie as Wing Gundam Zero, and Revenant as Gundam Deathscythe Hell. Plus, keep an eye on the reward shop for a Sparrow skin inspired by Char Aznable.

Weapon skins are also joining the fray, with eight Gundam-themed variants like the 'Buster Rifle' Kraber, 'Destiny 99' R-99, and 'Aerial 301' R-301. For those chasing mythic items, the Epyon Heat Rod and Beam Saber will be up for grabs. You have until April 14th to snag these through the dedicated shop.

Beyond the digital realm, Bandai Namco is releasing three limited-edition Gunpla kits inspired by the game. The lineup includes 'RG 1/144 Freedom Gundam - Crypto Ver-', 'RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero EW - Valkyrie Ver-', and 'RG 1/144 Gundam Epyon - Alter Ver-'. Pre-orders go live online starting the 18th until stocks run dry.

Alongside the fanfare, EA dropped a new patch note. It covers the usual suspects: server stability improvements, adjustments to ranked lobby structures, and fixes for various skin and mode bugs. They have also noted that they are actively monitoring community reports regarding issues where certain skills fail to trigger correctly when using a controller.
