Steam discounts are arriving to cool down the sweltering weather. It is the 'Steam Pirate Game Festival' held before the Steam Next Fest in June.

Valve will host the 'Steam Pirate Game Festival' from 2:00 AM on May 19 to 2:00 AM on May 26 (KST). The main setting must be the ocean; games set in lakes, ponds, or aquariums are not included. Fishing games are also excluded from this festival unless they feature elements of sailing the ocean. If the main story and gameplay take place in the ocean, games involving scuba diving, swimming, or boats can participate, and games where the protagonist is a non-human fish or shark are also eligible.

The list of participating games has not yet been released, but based on the description, we can infer some likely candidates. These include the survival game 'Raft', where you drift on the open sea, 'Dave the Diver', which combines marine exploration with sushi restaurant management, and 'Sea of Thieves', which deals with the life of a pirate. After the Steam Pirate Game Festival, the large-scale event 'Steam Next Fest' will be held. This year's Steam Next Fest will take place from June 16 to 23. Several festivals are also scheduled for the second half of the year. In August, the 4X Game Festival and Third-Person Shooter Festival will be held, and in September, the Political Simulation Game Festival and Steam Autumn Sale will begin. In October, the Steam Next Fest and Scream Fest 4 will commence, and from November to December, the Animal Game Festival, Sports Game Festival, and Winter Sale will follow.
