They failed to surpass their own franchise record, a familiar sting given that they were halted at 11 wins back in 2025 by—you guessed it—kt Rolster. T1 is now on a four-game tear, sitting at 10-4. While they share that record with Gen.G, the set differential puts them in third and fourth respectively. With the leaders, Hanwha Life Esports (12-2), followed closely by kt Rolster (11-3), and the T1-Gen.G duo (10-4), the top of the table is tighter than a drum.

The high-flying Hanwha Brion might have grabbed the headlines, but their winning ways were actually checked by a resilient Kiwoom DRX. After struggling through a three-game losing streak following their win over Nongshim RedForce, Kiwoom DRX reminded everyone why they have the upper hand against Hanwha Brion this year, snatching a vital point.

Hanwha Brion fell 1-2 to Kiwoom DRX on the 17th, failing to secure their first-ever six-game winning streak. Despite their previous heroics—downing DN Supers to claim their first five-game streak and ten-set win streak—their late-game focus wasn't enough to fend off the savage counter-attacks from Kiwoom DRX. It marks Kiwoom DRX's fourth straight win over them in 2026.

Even without the record, Hanwha Brion finishes the seventh week at 6-8. They may have missed the chance to breathe down the neck of 5th place Dplus KIA, but after a miserable 0-6 start to the season, holding onto 6th—and the associated MSI qualifying contention—is no small feat. However, the road ahead is brutal, with consecutive matches against Dplus KIA, T1, Gen.G, and Hanwha Life Esports.
