SOOP is expanding its esports partnership with Google Play, continuing its collaboration on the FC Online esports league, FSL (FC Online Super Champions League). Starting this season, Google Play joins as an official sponsor for FSL, which is hosted and organized by Nexon, with SOOP handling operations and production. This move builds upon the collaborative relationship established since Google Play ASL Season 20, as SOOP looks to broaden support for its major esports leagues.

FSL is a premier FC Online esports league co-managed by Nexon and SOOP. It has established itself as a stage for top-tier domestic players and has grown into a core league for FC Online esports. This season's FSL matches will begin with the group nomination ceremony on the 29th and will be held at the Jamsil DN Colosseum. The winner is expected to be determined during the finals on September 6th.

Google Play has previously participated as the title sponsor for Google Play ASL Season 20 and Google Play ASL Season 21, continuing its esports cooperation with SOOP. Notably, the Google Play ASL Season 21 finals held at KINTEX in Ilsan last May took place at the PlayX4 venue and drew significant attention from many esports fans. In the second half of the year, the Google Play ASL Season 22 finals are scheduled to be held at the Lotte World Ice Garden in Jamsil.

Through this sponsorship, SOOP has expanded its scope of cooperation with Google Play beyond StarCraft esports to include the FC Online category. Google Play plans to showcase various types of esports content to users by supporting SOOP's major esports leagues, from ASL to FSL. SOOP manages several self-produced esports leagues, including ASL, GSL, and FSL, and intends to continue its cooperation with Google Play to expand the domestic esports ecosystem.
