Nexon announced on the 6th that its open license project, 'NEXON REPLAY', has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Daegu Digital Innovation Agency to foster the local game industry.

This agreement aims to revitalize the game industry in the Daegu region and establish sustainable growth drivers through cooperation between the two organizations. 'NEXON REPLAY' is an open license project designed to provide creators with opportunities for secondary creation based on Nexon's diverse IP assets, thereby exploring new possibilities for Nexon's IPs.

Under this agreement, both parties will jointly promote a game production support program linked to 'NEXON REPLAY' IP as part of the 2026 Daegu Global Game Center's game content production support project. The program is open to developers headquartered in Daegu or those capable of relocating within one month. Selected companies will sign revenue-sharing and non-disclosure agreements under the same conditions as existing 'NEXON REPLAY' partners, and will be provided with essential development resources, including visuals and audio, for either the 'Legend of Darkness' or 'Asgard' IP.

Nexon will participate directly in the evaluation process of this production support project to ensure the discovery of high-quality new titles. Furthermore, through 'NEXON REPLAY', Nexon intends to broaden the base of IP collaboration with regional game companies and help the local game industry gain competitiveness on the global stage.
