The Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated City and the Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (GICON) are accepting applications for the '2026 GES National Amateur eSports Tournament (GES)' until August 30.

GES is a Gwangju-based eSports tournament for amateur players nationwide. This year, it features Valorant (5-player team) and Brawl Stars (3-player team). The total prize pool is 7,000,000 KRW, with 2,500,000 KRW for 1st place, 1,500,000 KRW for 2nd, and 500,000 KRW for 3rd in Valorant, and 1,500,000 KRW for 1st, 700,000 KRW for 2nd, and 300,000 KRW for 3rd in Brawl Stars.

Gamers from across the country can register via the GGGL platform. The first 10 teams to sign up will receive prizes upon reaching the finals, and early registration increases the chances of winning in on-site lucky draw events.

The online qualifiers begin on September 5, followed by the offline finals at the Gwangju eSports Arena on September 12. The Gwangju eSports Arena will also host various side events.

An official from the Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency stated, "We look forward to seeing the intense passion and high-level gameplay from amateur gamers across the nation again this year," adding, "We have prepared new participation events to ensure that gamers enjoy not only the competition but also various benefits throughout the registration process.
