In the Summoners War World Arena Championship 2026 (SWC 2026) Open Qualifier-Korea, SKIT claimed the top spot to punch a ticket to the World Finals.

Com2uS kicked off the SWC 2026 with the Open Qualifier-Korea, which commenced at 2:00 PM on the 8th. Now in its 10th iteration, the SWC remains the definitive global esports stage for Summoners War. Since Korea is hosting this year's World Finals, the tournament offers a special advantage: the winner of the local qualifier gets a direct pass to the grand finale.

The matches followed a single-elimination, best-of-five format. SKIT, who previously served as a caster since 2023, returned as a competitor, while the former pro ZZI-SOONG stepped into the commentator’s booth.

SKIT’s return to the competitive stage was clinical. SKIT swept SCHOLES 3-0 in the quarterfinals and dispatched ANGRYBIRD 3-1 in the semifinals. In the final, SKIT triumphed 3-1 over the 2018 World Champion BEAT.D, marking a return to the World Finals stage after a nine-year hiatus.

Meanwhile, the European qualifiers are well underway. P4FFIX, MALIGNANT, OBABO, and PINKROID secured their spots in the European Cup through the winners' bracket matches held on the 8th and 9th. The final lineup for the European Cup will be solidified following the losers' bracket matches on August 15.

Regional online qualifiers will run through the end of August to determine who advances to the regional cups. Those who survive the qualifiers will compete in the regional cups starting in September, and only the best of the best from those stages will head to Seoul this November for the World Finals.
