NC has rolled out a fresh update for its PC MMORPG, Blade & Soul NEO, featuring a collaboration with the classic manhwa series, Yulgang.

The heart of this update is the 'Boost Server', designed to fast-track new and returning players. Running for six weeks from August 19 to September 30, it aims to shave off the grind, letting you hit level 75 in just a single week to dive straight into the endgame content.

The collaboration also brings two new dungeons to the table. In the hero dungeon 'Black Dragon Hall', you will face off against the iconic 'Jahamashin', with side-story quests providing a bit of narrative flavour. For those who prefer a solo challenge, the 'Black Wind Training Grounds' offers a gauntlet against the Black Wind corps to hone your skills.

Then there is the new 'Flame Emperor' class. Harnessing the power of the Fire Dragon, this class balances flashy, heavy-hitting strikes with a fast combat tempo. It is a playstyle that rewards those who can turn an enemy's offense into their own opening, effectively blending attack and defence.

Combat quality-of-life hasn't been ignored either; the skill system has seen a significant overhaul. With the new 'Integrated Skill Management System', you can manage your loadouts more efficiently and pick top-tier skills with far less fuss. The process for switching skill specialisations has also been streamlined to be much more intuitive.

New gear is also on the menu, including the 'Jawoon' equipment set, alongside cosmetic items like 'Phantom Soul Shields' and 'Fate Stones'. Equip a full set of Phantom Soul Shields, and the background of your character info screen will shift to match the theme. As for the Fate Stones, they simply drift around your character for that extra visual flair.

To keep you busy, events like 'Phantom Hero' and 'Yulgang Guild' offer plenty of support for newcomers and guild activities alike. If you are hunting for rewards, the 'Suspicious Ceremony' and 'Treasure Hunt' events are your best bets for gathering gear-upgrading materials and collaboration loot. Meanwhile, the 'Bloodshade Harbor' and 'Sky Garden' events allow you to snag exclusive titles and costumes. If you fancy a bit of real-world loot, the 'Neo Yulgang' web event gives you a shot at winning prizes, including a custom PC.
