Naturally, you need to deal with them using high-hit-count machine gun Nikkes, distributed damage via buffed Yukiko or Makoto, or raw screen-clearing AoE attacks.The defense buff isn't active right after the Raptures spawn until the boss leaps to the center, giving you a very narrow window to clear them out easily with AoE and distributed damage.

Alternatively, you can just brute-force them with overwhelming attack buffs—a trick made possible by Mast's kit. The key is to time your clear precisely with Mast's burst activation. The code barrier lasts for roughly 11 seconds before vanishing, and if you fail to wipe out the summoned Raptures within that timeframe, prepare to face a party-wide instant-kill attack. So yes, smash those targets before the clock runs out.
