Pragmata protagonist Diana invaded various Capcom social media accounts under the concept of hacking. Along the way, Diana unfortunately failed at the official Mega Man X account, but while the hacking did not succeed, Diana managed to secure a collaboration skin out of it.

Capcom dropped the very first trailer for Mega Man: Dual Override at Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 26. Running for about a minute and a half, the footage gives us a proper look at the signature side-scrolling stage progression, Mega Man combining various parts to showcase different abilities, and a brand-new boss named 'Twinkle Girl'.

To top it all off, a Pragmata collaboration skin was revealed at the very end of the video. Set to arrive later this year, the collaboration adds new Mega Man skins into Pragmata, where Hugh rocks the Mega Man outfit while Diana sports the gear of Roll, Mega Man's younger sister figure. So, while the hacking failed, the collaboration skin certainly paid off.

Meanwhile, Mega Man: Dual Override marks the triumphant return of the franchise since Mega Man 11 launched back in 2018, serving as a commemorative title for the Mega Man series' 40th anniversary. Following the journey of protagonists setting out to resolve a rogue robot incident, players can choose both Mega Man and Proto Man as playable characters. The game features an Override mechanic that lifts limiters to draw out power beyond normal limits for a short time, special weapons developed by analyzing the special abilities of defeated robots, and a custom chip system to enhance Mega Man's performance.

Mega Man: Dual Override is scheduled to release in 2027 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
