Smilegate is hosting the 'CROSSFIRE STARS (CFS) 2026 Grand Finals', the most prestigious tournament in the CROSSFIRE esports league, in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, running from November 24 to December 6.

The official slogan for this year's tournament is 'Fight as One', capturing the meaning of players, teams, and fans uniting and marching forward together. Smilegate plans to develop this tournament into a global esports cultural festival that Wuhan citizens can enjoy by linking it with online and offline events that actively utilize the CROSSFIRE IP.

This tournament will feature the largest scale in history with 18 participating teams. Smilegate has been running 'CFS Path', which serves as the CFS qualifiers for each regional zone such as China, Brazil, Vietnam, Southeast Asia (SEA), and EUMENA, from September to early November. Depending on the results of this CFS Path, each team will be granted a seed for the CFS Grand Finals main stage.

The CFS Grand Finals main matches will be conducted in a step-by-step ladder tournament structure similar to the KBO postseason. The Play-In, Group Stage, and Bracket Stage will be held at the Wuhan Brand Center, while the final Championship Stage will take place at the Wuhan Sports Center. This format has the advantage of giving value to the results from the regional qualifiers all the way to the Grand Finals main stage, providing reasonable rewards to top-performing teams.

The 18 teams participating in the Grand Finals consist of 17 regional advancing teams that passed the CFS Path and 1 team that won the 'Baixing League', a Chinese CROSSFIRE amateur league. Regional advancement slots have been allocated as 5 teams for China, 3 teams for Vietnam, 3 teams for Brazil, 3 teams for EUMENA, and 3 teams for Southeast Asia. China secured 1 additional slot as Baisha Gaming won EWC 2026 last August. The Baixing League winning team will start their matches in the first stage, the Play-In Stage, marking the first time an amateur team plays international head-to-head matches against professional teams on the CFS Grand Finals stage.

Celebrating its 13th anniversary this year, CFS is the most prestigious tournament in CROSSFIRE esports. With teams and players having grown further through international stages like EWC 2026 participating, top-tier matches in the history of the event are expected to unfold at this CFS 2026 Grand Finals.
