Line Games has rolled out the new season update titled Beyond the Erosion for its hack-and-slash RPG Undecember, developed by Needs Games, on August 11. This fresh season introduces a roguelike wave defense mode called 'Assault of Erosion', aiming to throw various combat thrills at players.

'Assault of Erosion' can be accessed from Saluto, and you'll need a dedicated entry item named 'Key of Erosion', bagged by slaying Chaos Dungeon bosses. Players have to fill up a gauge by wiping out normal mobs and then take down the wave boss that spawns. Every time you smash through a wave, you get to pick one out of three options packed with both blessings and curses, and you can ditch options you dislike within a limited number of rerolls.

While running through the waves, you can gather 'Fragments of Erosion' to pick your final reward chest, pulling newly added essences out of the gameplay. These four new additions consist of 'Spica', used for leveling up runes of level 31 or higher; 'Castor', which applies multipliers to gear quality and option stats; '[Forging] Birth', which guarantees the inclusion of a [Forging] option when rerolling stats; and '[Forging] Grant', which guarantees granting a [Forging] option.

Five existing channeling skills (Flame Thrower, Holy Light, Space of Power, Holy Devotion, and Mana-infused Crossbow) have been tweaked so you can move around even while channeling. The 'Constellation of Time' dungeon has been integrated into the 'Chaos Dungeon', and the essence drop rate boost effect for Zodiac Pass exclusive materials has been doubled by 100%. Alongside the addition of new gear items, balance tweaks were made to tone down performance gaps between skills and relics. On top of all that, two brand-new skill runes, 'Punishment' and 'Charged Shot', have dropped into the game.

Quality-of-life upgrades have landed too. A 'Rune Cast Preset' feature has been added, letting the game automatically search your owned runes and re-equip them based on the saved rune setup. Bookmark functions for relic summoning and abyss stones have also been introduced.

A bunch of rewarding events are lined up to celebrate the kick-off of the new season. Until the 'Beyond the Erosion' season wraps up, new players and returning players who haven't logged in for the last 30 days will get progression rewards via a dedicated attendance book, along with goodies like 'Zodiac Sprinter' and 'Relic Equipment'. The in-game event 'Coco's Great Adventure' is back, alongside a season-opening attendance sheet and season support gift handouts.
