Wrapping up the regular season with 19 wins and 7 losses, Gen.G tied with Hanwha Life Esports in matches and set differentials, but secured the top spot by leading the head-to-head record. Afterward, Gen.G bypassed the lower brackets in the playoffs by defeating KT Rolster 3 to 0 and Hanwha Life Esports 3 to 1 to book a direct ticket to the finals.

Gen.G's opponent in the finals will be determined based on the outcome of the final qualifying match between Hanwha Life Esports and T1 on October 12. Gen.G holds a 5-win, 1-loss advantage against Hanwha Life Esports in 2026, and also displayed a strong performance by winning 3 to 1 in the Round 3 finals qualification match of the playoffs. Goldendew is showcasing a champion ring photo zone and showcase dedicated to the winning team of the finals while running an event to provide pendants. Logitech G will host activities offering various prizes such as gaming gear, and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs plans to hand out random photo cards at the uniform-wearing personnel appreciation campaign booth. The winners of the 2026 LCK Finals will receive a championship ring crafted by Goldendew, and the finals MVP will be awarded a necklace crafted by Goldendew as a supplementary prize.
