The World of Warcraft World-Soul Saga, which kicked off back in 2024, is finally coming to a close with its next expansion, The Last Titan. A moody teaser trailer featuring a blizzard-swept Northrend and a colossal Titan's grand entrance was dropped during BlizzCon.

Blizzard rolled out brand new World of Warcraft details during the BlizzCon 2026 opening ceremony on September 13. Acting as the follow-up to the currently unfolding Midnight, The Last Titan emerged after quite a while to tie up the World-Soul Saga.

World of Warcraft game director Ion Hazzikostas stated, "It will be the culmination of over 20 years of Warcraft history, laying the groundwork for what comes next." Hazzikostas added, "The Last Titan is not just a trip back to Northrend, but a reflection on a generation's worth of your courage and achievements."

Clocking in at a minute and thirty seconds, the clip highlights iconic Northrend locations like Dragonblight and Icecrown Citadel alongside a towering Titan casting a massive shadow. Judging by the locations shown in the trailer, the Titan is presumed to be walking along the Path of the Titans, which is already implemented in the game. Fresh details on The Last Titan are scheduled to drop early next year.

A brand new trailer for the Midnight 12.2 patch, Eclipse of Light, was also showcased. It put the spotlight on Xal'atath, who aims to claim Azeroth's world-soul accompanied by a sinister laugh. Hazzikostas remarked, "If Xal'atath gets her hands on the world-soul, it's pretty much checkmate," and noted, "We've got plenty of tough challenges ahead, but we trust you lot can pull it off."
