Smilegate has rolled out a fresh batch of party dungeon content, dubbed Co-op Battles, for its MMORPG Eclipse: The Awakening.

The newly introduced Co-op Battles are instance dungeons where players can form parties of up to five to take down formidable bosses. Parties are put together via an automatic matching system, with a minimum requirement of four participants. Two bosses, Lacerien and Tulkan, make an appearance in these battles, and if the party pulls together to conquer the boss within the time limit, various rewards await them, including up to Hero-grade skill books, stigmas, and rare-grade equipment blueprints.

This update also incorporates changes that Development Director Lee Sang-moon previously promised through developer notes and live broadcasts, showing a genuine willingness to improve the game. First up is the growth effect system, which grants cumulative stats based on the total growth stages of Transcendence and Weapon Skins. This ensures that the time and effort put into past Transcendence and Weapon Skins are continually utilized for character progression, regardless of their grade. On top of that, the AI mode support has been expanded to include regular dungeons.

Meanwhile, Smilegate plans to shake up the playing environment by introducing a brand-new world named Celine to Eclipse on October 2. The Celine world will operate as a distinct matching group, allowing dungeon matching among players across three servers within that specific world. Matching groups are designed to bundle multiple servers together so that players in the same group can dive into competitive and cooperative content side by side.
