Gravity kicked off the crowdfunding campaign for Ragnarok the Board Game: Ceremony of Prontera on the global platform Kickstarter on October 6, hitting the target amount of $50,000 (approximately 67 million KRW) in a mere 10 minutes. Within just four days, the funding figure climbed past $300,000 (approximately 402 million KRW).

Ragnarok the Board Game: Ceremony of Prontera is a dungeon crawling adventure board game designed for one to four players, drawing inspiration from the original Ragnarok Online. The development team translated the iconic skills of the original game into a card-driven system, ensuring players can dive into strategic gameplay using monster-specific behavioral patterns and a variety of scenarios.

Gameplay loops around creating a character, picking a first-tier job class, and exploring Prontera and its surrounding regions to grow in power, ultimately culminating in a clash with MVP monsters. As the adventure unfolds, players can experience core content from the original Ragnarok Online right at the table, including tackling quests via NPCs, advancing to second-tier job classes, and hoarding gear and resources.

The crowdfunding campaign is scheduled to run until November 6. The rewards are priced anywhere from $65 (approximately 87,100 KRW) to $199 (approximately 266,660 KRW) depending on the contents of the pledge tiers. Backers can choose from four options: Standard, Deluxe, All-in Standard, and Early Bird All-in Deluxe, with the backed goods slated for shipping starting this December.
