Select Button announced on October 15 that it has updated Higan: Eruthyll with a new Sun-Moon character, 'Kuzunoha Gozen'. This update packs a punch with not just the new character, but also the event story 'Hot Spring Ghost Story' detailing the character's background, and the boss challenge event 'Frontier of the End', among other treats.

The freshly unveiled 'Kuzunoha Gozen' rolls in as a fox yokai character who runs the worry-banishing 'Will-o'-the-Wisp' hot spring and serves as an emissary of the fertility god 'Inari'. Belonging to the Dawn Frontier faction, the character wields a sword as the primary weapon and unleashes a wide-area ultimate skill by gathering power into the blade, dealing heavy physical damage to all foes across the battlefield.

Upon triggering the ultimate skill, 'Kuzunoha Gozen' deploys a 'Will-o'-the-Wisp Barrier', singling out an enemy within the barrier to deal continuous damage. The pickup recruitment for 'Kuzunoha Gozen' runs until November 5, and players can secure the SSR character upon a successful pull during the dedicated pickup event. To celebrate the new character's arrival, the boss challenge event 'Frontier of the End' kicks off as well.

The new event story 'Hot Spring Ghost Story' follows the adventures of the Gopher Troupe as they dive into the truth behind a mysterious contamination incident and a ghost disturbance shaking up the 'Inari' hot spring town where humans and yokai coexist.

The event runs until October 27, allowing players to deploy 'Lusdielle' and specific SSR characters as fixed support options. Depending on the final rankings, players can bag various rewards such as 'Top-tier Hot Spring Pass', 'Fox Yokai Mask' pickup tickets, 'Red Sleeve Profile Border Between Sentences', and the 'Mission of Wind and Moon' title for use in the exchange shop.
