Look, let us be honest—Steam Next Fest October 2026 edition has just dropped its definitive list of the top 50 demos, gathering upcoming releases under one digital roof. This particular iteration of Steam Next Fest grabbed massive attention by fielding a record-breaking scale of over 8,200 games.

The top 50 October demos at Steam Next Fest heavily spotlighted various management simulations, survival open-world titles, and new MMORPGs alongside the surprisingly popular FriendSlop game. Take ArcheAge Chronicles, for instance, which is gearing up for its launch on November 4. The developer managed to secure a spot in the Next Fest Top 50 by leaning into a buy-to-play model, action-focused combat revolving around dodging, parrying, and striking, alongside the inclusion of core content from the starting region.

It is also worth noting the heavy hitters waiting right at the doorstep of release. According to the data, October releases like the space station smuggling management game Probably Stolen launching on the 28th, the flatulence-propelled raft builder Fart Together, the 5-player horror card game Hands Over, and the card collection title Rip It Card Collector caught plenty of eyes. As for anticipated November releases, games like the monster brawler Godzilla Remastered landing on the 3rd, Loftia, Just Volleyball, and Carry On Together pulled in serious attention.

On top of that, the dictatorial management sim Tropico 7, scheduled for release next year, turned heads by showcasing content vastly expanded from the previous entry. Another highly anticipated title slated for next year is the driving school simulator Teach Your Little Sister How to Drive, developed by the domestic studio Easy Fox Games. Easy Fox Games previously mentioned the surging popularity of Teach Your Little Sister How to Drive on the 8th, noting that their daily AI usage fees hit a staggering 1.35 million KRW.

Among the titles with unannounced release dates, Slam Tank—a tank action game by domestic developer Next Stage that previously charmed the masses with a trailer featuring wildly flailing barrels and chassis—managed to lock down a spot in the Top 50. Furthermore, Liblade: The Death Spiral secured its reputation as a heavyweight prospect by flaunting a cyberpunk aesthetic coupled with flashy, high-difficulty 3D action.
