On the 28th, Arthdal Chronicles rolled out a massive update featuring a wandering dark merchant, Black Night Archipelago outpost wars, Black Night 6th Archipelago, legendary equipment crafting recipes, Chapter 10 of the growth guide, expanded time dungeon tiers, and changes to integrated content matching.

The absolute highlight of this update is, without a doubt, the arrival of the dark merchant. This shady vendor peddles goods you simply cannot find anywhere else, showing up at designated locations in Arthdal, Ago, and the Lawless Village. When the dark merchant appears, an icon pops up right beneath the character health bar. Usually dropping in on weekends, the exact schedule and availability are delightfully unpredictable. However, this particular dark merchant is locked in to appear from 12:30 on October 31 to 23:59 on November 1. Keep your eyes peeled for official notices and in-game alerts before the merchant rolls into town.

Pop the Inaishinkin's Oath, and the dark merchant will open up two extra sales slots, letting you scoop up even more loot. Clicking the bulk purchase button brings up a handy pop-up where you can pick and choose between silver and gemstone items. You can refresh the inventory using silver and gemstones, and spending gemstones bumps up the dark merchant's affinity by 1. Hit higher affinity tiers, and you unlock the chance to buy truly special items.

This dark merchant features a total of three affinity tiers, ranging from stage 0 to 2. Special items start appearing at tier 2 affinity, including the Natiak's Heritage Mount Awakening Challenge Ticket, the Luminous Awakening Summon Ticket Selection Box, and the Luminous Spirit/Mount/Kkumdol/Weapon Appearance Synthesis Energy. Among these, the Natiak's Heritage Mount Challenge Ticket gives you a shot at acquiring the brand-new Natiak's Heritage mount through sheer probability, so do not let the chance slip away.

Updates to the Black Night Archipelago content are also turning heads. First off, outpost wars for the Black Night 1st through 5th archipelagoes have been added. Each archipelago gets two mysterious outposts, granting sweet buffs when captured. These outposts activate at random times, with activation details broadcasted across the entire archipelago area 10 minutes prior. The outpost buffs are randomly drawn from one of four possible effects.

Once an outpost activates, guard monsters spawn nearby, and the outpost war kicks off the moment you wipe them out. After that, as long as members of the same alliance are inside the mysterious outpost, the capture progress bar in the top right climbs upward. The more alliance members inside, the faster that bar fills up. Whichever alliance boasts the highest capture progress by the end of the war claims the outpost and reaps the buff effects. Outsmart the competition, seize the outposts, and enjoy those efficient buffs, mate.

Beyond all that, the patch brings the ultra-high-tier hunting ground Black Night 6th Archipelago, legendary equipment crafting recipes, the new spirit Ignar, the fresh outfit Falanggomi Set, expanded time dungeon tiers, Chapter 10 of the growth guide, new store items, adjusted integrated field Black Night Archipelago matching, and various bug fixes.
