The Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (hereinafter the Agency) is currently calling for participants to join the 2025 Jeollanam-do Esports Tournament.

This tournament is being held as part of the regional qualifiers for the 17th Presidential Cup Amateur Esports Tournament, with the primary goal of scouting and nurturing top-tier local esports talent.

Applications are open until July 21. Eligible participants must be residents of Jeonnam or students currently attending schools within the region. Age requirements apply based on account ownership: 12 or older for League of Legends and FC Online, and 15 or older for Eternal Return.

The Jeonnam qualifiers will take place online from July 26 to 27. Those who secure a spot will represent the region at the national finals, scheduled for August 16 to 17 at the Jecheon Gymnasium in North Chungcheong Province.

Top finishers will earn both prize money and a ticket to the national finals. For League of Legends and Eternal Return, the first-place teams will receive 1.5 million won, while runners-up take home 1 million won; both top teams advance to the finals. In the FC Online category, the winner receives 600,000 won and the runner-up receives 400,000 won, with the top two players heading to the national stage.

An official from the Agency stated, "This tournament is a vital opportunity to discover exceptional esports athletes to represent Jeollanam-do and to invigorate the local esports scene," adding that "for local fans and competitors, this represents a significant milestone."
