A new technology is set to roll out, allowing players to hold and trade the full data of their game characters directly.

On the 9th, the open blockchain game platform CROSS announced the introduction of 'OGA (Ownable Game Asset)', a game-centric NFT technology.

CROSS aims to upgrade its platform by creating a bridge that links game IPs to the blockchain ecosystem, thereby strengthening asset interoperability and user ownership structures. Unlike traditional NFTs that often stop at static PNG images, OGA is composed of both PNG and JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) data, enabling direct integration with game engines. This allows for the seamless acquisition, enhancement, and trading of in-game assets.

Meanwhile, NEXUS CEO Jang Hyun-guk announced a partnership with the Web3 game developer 'One Earth Rising' on the 9th. Jang Hyun-guk stated, "OGA serves as a genuine game asset containing the entire character data, facilitating free movement, upgrades, and trading between games," further emphasizing that it is "a turning point that signals the dawn of the Web3 gaming era."
