You can now experience the hit title from CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077, in the form of a tabletop board game, fully localized for the Korean market.

Domestic publisher Hit Games has confirmed that crowdfunding for the Cyberpunk 2077 board game will kick off on Wadiz starting the 21st. The game is a collaborative effort between the original developer, CD Projekt Red, and the Polish board game studio Go On Board. Players can take on the roles of V (in either gender) or iconic allies like Panam, Jackie, and Judy, with support for up to four players at the table.

Stepping into the boots of these characters, players will explore Night City and tackle various missions. Key locations from the video game, such as Arasaka, Biotechnica, and the Afterlife bar, are meticulously recreated. There are 13 distinct missions to undertake, often involving high-stakes combat—like infiltrating Arasaka to swipe sensitive tech—and you might even cross paths with the formidable Adam Smasher in certain scenarios.

The progression system stays true to the source material; players can use rewards earned from missions to acquire or craft new weapons, or bolster their stats through implants and cyberware upgrades. Beyond direct combat, players can also opt to solve missions through hacking. It is an honest attempt to capture the grind of becoming a top-tier Edgerunner within the confines of a tabletop experience.

The funding tiers are split into three options: Deluxe, Gameplay All-in, and All-in. The Deluxe tier includes the base game, featuring five playable characters, one boss, 13 missions, 16 enemy types, and an 'Afterlife' mission generator for custom quest creation. Higher tiers, such as Gameplay All-in, include the base game plus expansions inspired by Johnny Silverhand, the Trauma Team, the Netflix animation, and the Phantom Liberty expansion.

Every backer will benefit from stretch goals that unlock as funding targets are met. If the maximum goal of 400,000,000 won is reached, the content expands significantly with five extra playable characters, 12 additional missions, one new enemy faction, four bosses, 40 pieces of equipment, seven game modes, five fixers, and 40 street stories.

Crowdfunding for the Korean version of the Cyberpunk 2077 board game begins at 2:00 PM on July 21st via the official Wadiz page.
