The Sims, which depicts the lives of Sims, often experiences serious bugs during updates. In February, an error occurred where children's bellies appeared as if they were pregnant, surprising many users. Now, four months later, another pregnancy-related bug has been reported.

The issue has been discussed since July 1st. EA released a pre-launch update ahead of the new expansion pack, 'Mystical Nature', which is set to release on the 10th. The update improved the convenience of the Sim inventory, notebook, and family collection, and added features such as glass walls for greenhouses and the ability to place plants on roofs. Along with this, bugs in The Sims 4 base game and various expansion packs were fixed.

However, since the July 1st update, many users playing The Sims 4 have reported that Sims who are not pregnant are being marked as 'pregnant'. Because every Sim in the game is in a pregnant state, they cannot take pregnancy tests, age up, or perform activities to have a baby. In particular, for Vampire Sims who must feed on other Sims to survive, there are reports that the gameplay is severely hindered because they are unable to feed on pregnant Sims.

In response, the EA development team stated that they are investigating the pregnancy-related issues and hope that users will share relevant information through the EA Forums. While the reason for the bug has not yet been revealed, fans speculate that the problem occurred because the core code that controls and monitors pregnancy status was accidentally altered during the update on July 1st.
