EA's highly anticipated title, Battlefield 6, began its open beta at 5:00 PM (KST) on the 7th. Before the servers went live, over 50,000 users were already waiting in the pre-download queue, and once the beta started, the game recorded 250,000 concurrent players on Steam, drawing significant attention.

Currently, the Battlefield 6 open beta is accessible only to those with a participation code. Codes can be obtained by linking an EA account with a Twitch account and watching at least 30 minutes of a designated streamer's broadcast. Once a code is received, early access privileges are granted, allowing users to play the game via the EA app or Steam.

The beta will run until August 10th, followed by a brief break, and will be held again from the 14th to the 17th. The tests from the 9th to the 10th and the 14th to the 17th will be open to everyone, even without a code.

The PC specifications for the open beta are a minimum of Intel Core i5-8400 and NVIDIA RTX 2060, with recommended specs of Intel Core i7-10700 and NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti. Additionally, Secure Boot must be enabled to play the game.

As of 5:40 PM on the 7th, the number of concurrent players for Battlefield 6 reached 258,282. The number of players is increasing rapidly, and there are over 200,000 people in the waiting queue. As word-of-mouth spreads through broadcasts, there are expectations that the game could exceed 500,000 concurrent players on Steam on the 7th if server capacity is managed well. Furthermore, since many users access the game directly via the EA app rather than Steam, the actual number of concurrent players is likely much higher than the Steam figures.

Battlefield 6 will be officially released on October 10th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
