Yunseul vs Irae: Who will claim the archipelago?

Following the recent Spirit and Mount Awakening update, power levels have surged. The Yunseul group, led by Paeakjil, and the Irae group, led by Blackdaejang, are heading for a massive showdown in the Black Night Archipelago this week. They previously locked horns in the fourth week of July, delivering a result that was, frankly, too close to call.

Things have changed, though. The Yunseul group has significantly bolstered its combat prowess. When comparing the average power of the top 20, Yunseul sits at 127,549, while Irae holds 128,463. Looking at the tiers: Yunseul has one 160k ranker versus none for Irae; both have one 150k ranker; Yunseul has one 140k ranker against Irae's two; Yunseul has three 130k rankers to Irae's four; and Yunseul boasts six 120k rankers compared to Irae's eight.

While Irae still maintains a higher headcount, Yunseul has seized the lead in top-tier combat power. Since July, Yunseul has made incredible strides, effectively flipping the script. Expect Yunseul to have the upper hand in controlling the boss spawns.

The rivalry between Paeakjil and Blackdaejang is equally compelling. Both are breaking their own power records daily. Blackdaejang, in particular, has skyrocketed to 3rd place globally following the massive July update. As a Fighter class, Blackdaejang possesses the AOE capability to tear through the heart of any enemy formation.

Paeakjil recently switched from Storm Wizard to Dual Blade following a class event. While the Storm Wizard is arguably superior in large-scale warfare, the lack of chase potential seems to have prompted the switch. The Dual Blade is unmatched in hunting down targets using 'Ilseom' and 'Seomgwangse'. It will be fascinating to see how this plays out in the field.
