A new entry in the Dawn of War series, long revered as a heavyweight in the real-time strategy genre, has been revealed. The developers are doubling down on the series' roots to deliver a deep, satisfying experience.

Unveiled during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event on the 20th, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 4 (hereinafter Dawn of War 4) is set to be published by Deep Silver and developed by King Art Games. The developer is known for 'Iron Harvest', an RTS that blended diesel-punk aesthetics into a 1920s European setting.

The team’s primary goal is a return to the quintessential Dawn of War experience. This includes campaign missions rooted in the Warhammer IP, alongside the brutal, melee-focused combat animations that defined the series.

Four factions will be featured: Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and, for the first time in the Dawn of War series, the Adeptus Mechanicus. Each faction provides its own distinct commanders, units, buildings, and gameplay mechanics.

Players can dive into over 70 campaign missions, supporting both solo and co-op play. In multiplayer, the fan-favorite 'Last Stand' mode makes a return, alongside a variety of modes including skirmishes against players from across the globe.

The release date for Dawn of War 4 remains unconfirmed, and the game will support Korean subtitles.
