SEGA Publishing Korea has announced a limited-time open network test for 'Sonic Racing Crossworld', which is slated for release on September 25.

The test will be open to anyone from 13:00 on August 29 to 13:00 on September 2, available across PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Furthermore, a limited-time in-game event, 'P5R Joker Festa', will run from 13:00 on August 31 to 13:00 on September 1, allowing players to test drive the racer 'Joker' and the machine 'Arsene Wing'.

Sonic Racing Crossworld is the latest SEGA All-Star racing title currently being developed by the SEGA racing game team. It features dynamic tracks that shift between land, sea, and air with each lap. The roster is the largest in the series to date, boasting 23 characters, with additional content bringing in fan favourites like Hatsune Miku, Joker (Persona 5 Royal), Ichiban Kasuga (Yakuza), Minecraft, and SpongeBob SquarePants.

This open network test is held to verify online performance and identify bugs. As a participation incentive, players will be gifted exclusive stickers and titles for use in the final retail version. It is also a prime opportunity to experience the game early.

The test content includes the Grand Prix mode—a four-round race—and Time Trial for chasing top scores in offline play. Online, you can dive into World Match to compete against friends or the global community, take part in the P5R Joker Festa, or form four-person squads. Notably, the online mode supports full cross-platform play.
