BluePotion Games has rolled out a fresh update for its mobile MMORPG, 'EOS Black', alongside a celebratory event marking 440 days since launch.

The heart of this update lies in the newly introduced 'Gem System' and 'Core Enhancement System'. The Gem System allows players to socket various items into gear to bolster their stats; you can even merge identical gems to forge higher-tier versions. With 10 distinct types of gems available, players can track them down either through in-game activities or the shop.

Then there is the 'Core Enhancement System'. This mechanic cleverly puts those duplicate 'Divine Beast Skin Summon Tickets'—which players might have pulled since last month—to good use. By dismantling these duplicates, players obtain 'Soul Cores'. Unlocking core enhancement slots provides bonus stats, offering a much-needed utility for skins that would otherwise gather dust in the inventory.

Quality of life improvements were also part of the package. 'Legendary' class skill books now have a chance to drop from elite monsters in high-level hunting grounds like Arminis and Moken. Furthermore, the victory conditions for 'Trial', the PvP mode in World Boss content, have been tweaked. Notably, certain consumable return items can now be converted into 'permanent use items', which is a welcome change for inventory management.
