The Korea Indie Game Association is rebranding itself as the Korea AI Game Association.

The association has long been the backbone for local indie developers, handling everything from support and education to running exhibitions. By adopting this new identity, the association aims to weave artificial intelligence into the indie scene, broadening the scope of developer support and fostering industry-wide innovation. While the existing indie game support initiatives will remain, the association is now shifting its focus to ensure developers can actively integrate AI technology into their workflows.

An association official stated, "AI presents a fresh set of challenges and opportunities for indie developers," adding, "The association aims to serve as a platform bridging indie games with artificial intelligence, empowering domestic developers to sharpen their competitive edge in the global market."

The organization currently boasts a membership of approximately 5,000 general members and 100 corporate members.
