NEXUS announced on the 5th that it has made a strategic investment in BackendX, a company specializing in AI-based backend solutions. BackendX has built high-performance solutions required by global service companies based on server operation efficiency and large-scale traffic distribution technology. In particular, it is expanding the use of AI technology by focusing on developing backend structures linked to Large Language Model (LLM)-based conversational functions.

The backend is a core system area that supports overall services, such as data processing between clients and servers, user authentication, and content storage, where technical stability is crucial. BackendX CEO Moon Dae-kyung is a figure with professional experience in computer engineering spanning both industry and academia. He graduated from Seoul National University's Department of Computer Science and Engineering and earned his Master's and Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley. He previously served as the Head of New Tech Development and Server Team Lead at Nexon, and is currently leading BackendX while serving as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Myongji University.

NEXUS has previously established a service that allows anyone to easily create games and convert them into blockchain games through a strategic partnership with the AI gaming platform Verse8. In addition, it has prepared a system that can provide cross-chain onboarding partner support and customer service in all languages worldwide 24/7 by utilizing its own AI bot, Ara.

This investment and strategic cooperation with BackendX are expected to create an environment where not only game developers but also general users can build backend services without specialized knowledge of network infrastructure and system technology. This is expected to be the first case of applying AI to the value chain of the entire ecosystem.
