Nexon announced on the 12th the finalists for both the 10th anniversary 'NYPC Code Battle' collegiate league and the main event for the 10th 'Nexon Youth Programming Challenge (NYPC 2025)'.

The NYPC Code Battle saw roughly 4,900 participants across some 700 teams during its online round, which ran from August 8th to 18th. Nexon is awarding special prizes to the top 100 teams, with the top 24 teams earning a golden ticket to the final round at the Nexon Pangyo headquarters on October 25th.

During the registration and online rounds, the event featured the 'NYPC Code Battle: Campus League,' a mini-game version of the competition problems. With students from 250 universities joining in, the top three institutions—Seoul National University, Korea University of Technology and Education, and KAIST—will be treated to a Pink Bean IP snack truck visit this September.

The NYPC 2025 online preliminaries attracted 3,000 entrants across rounds 1 and 2 in August. About 1,800 participants managed to clear round 1, with the top 80 scorers (20 from the 12-14 age bracket and 60 from the 15-19 group) advancing to the main event. Nexon will host the offline final at the Pangyo headquarters on October 25th, while the top 500 scorers from round 2 receive special prizes.

The problems from rounds 1 and 2 are now available on the free coding platform BIKO for anyone to tackle. Participants can also track their history and performance trends from 2022 to this year through their personal pages on the official NYPC website.

To mark the 10th anniversary of NYPC, Nexon has been operating the 'NYPC Store' since August 29th for a month. All proceeds are pledged to charity, and there are various events running to celebrate a decade of memories.
